It really just depends on what you’re gonna use it for. I’m 511 160 pounds. They both actually have the same motor the light B is actually significantly lighter so all in all it’s gonna be faster. I don’t feel cramped on it at all I would say I wanna get taller bars and wider pegs to be a little more comfortable. I already have a full-size adventure bike so I chose the light B to have something small agile lightweight, and something I could rip around the neighborhood low-key and ride tight single track. If you want something, that’s great for hard Enduro low-key enough to ride around the neighborhood and feels like a mountain bike or a trials bike on steroids light bees the choice. If you’re gonna try to have it replace an actual dirtbike and you’re gonna be doing heavy, long distance, deep sand trails or going to the MX track repeatedly I would probably go with the ultra . The main difference is gonna be bigger forks, bigger brakes, bigger wheels ones more like a full-size dirtbike the other one’s more like a 85.
I still have to do full testing, including taking the EVO on some heavy off-road trails to really compare the two. For cruising around the city, I’d say they’re pretty similar, to be honest. But for off-road riding and pushing them hard, I have a feeling the LB2 is going to beat the EVO. Between the linear power delivery, semi-solid-state battery, and larger tires, I think the LB2 is going to be significantly better for long-range trail riding. I’m headed up to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula tonight and hoping to do some serious testing to see what kind of range I can get in heavy off-road conditions. For now, riding like in this video, cruising at 15–20 mph between spots, then doing full-throttle pulls, wheelies, and ripping through the dirt, I’ve been averaging around 28–35 miles before hitting 50–60% battery remaining. That’s with a mix of Daily and Eco modes, alternating between casual and aggressive riding. I haven’t done many sustained, full-speed pulls, which I think would really eat into the range. The EVO also has a top speed roughly 20 mph higher than the LB2. You can feel the LB2 hit its speed limit, and I think that could help with range as well. The two biggest selling points for me are the direct gear-to-gear drive, eliminating the belt and the potential for it to slip or snap, and the semi-solid-state battery, which is rated for roughly 1,600 charge cycles compared to around 600 for a standard lithium-ion battery before noticeable degradation. These are just my initial impressions, though. I still need to put both bikes through some serious trail riding before I can make a definitive comparison.
yes the accs on it is very fast and gets to its top speed so fast like it want to do more top speed but its limited with software so with aftermarket controller u can deff get more if u need, but the acc is already much
Still fully testing it don’t wanna give you a false number. Should be releasing a video soon on that once I get more testing done. I will say that it heavily relies on how you ride it and the type of terrain you are in. Big elevation changes and deep sand is gonna kill range along with tons of full throttle punches and long distance top speed runs. But I am very impressed so far . For example in this video above I used about 50 to 55% battery through the entire thing which was roughly 26-31 miles . I’ve been averaging roughly 25 to 40 miles before I hit 50-60% percent range . That’s with a mix of chill cruising ,full throttle launches testing the modes and a significant amount of wheelies. I haven’t done a ton of top speed long distance yet . Over the next week or so I’m gonna be testing it in different environments. I’m most curious to see what kind of range I ’m gonna get on the legit ORV trails here in Michigan that have a decent amount of sugar sand. Keep an eye out and I’ll be releasing something in the near future with more detail!
100%. I got light bee x and I’m 6,3 super comfy
@quickcanary I went with the RERODE.. Rlfoxa suspension 21"front wheel 55ah battery Awesome brakes Had the old model ..r1+..very reliable.. They go hard. Headlight helps to.. In Australia emotos are expensive..$$$ nothing more to spend It will be a nice fun trail bike.. Not too small..( I did purchase a rear suspension riser). Hopefully it fits.. . Sur-ron lbx2.. nice ,but too expensive..too little The dash is a little bit complicated.. overkill, imo.. Had the 2024 model.. awesome bikes Loved the tight tracks.. Yes we are spoil.. life's good 🤙🇦🇺💯
ll 53-56 on that? I got 10KW and I get 50-55..
Just 5 minutes in and I'm certain that it is the best e-bike to date, just wow
I believe the Lbx 2 has a 90kmh top speed but does have better acceleration which is way more fun
it’s more like a 125 cc they have gears and already go much faster. 250-300cc can reach speeds to 150kmph
Well when you have 24kw and and good suspension it doesn’t matter
0:57 maaan, already scratch the frame on a brand new bike🥲
Ion understand how they say 24kw and its 50 mph🤔 but my 2025 light bee in 12kw hit 70mph
They aren't actually that small I've sat on 1 and its mint honestly
I personally love Surron and their overall quality. We've ridden ours so much over the years that it's hard to deny their quality.
Thanks for taking the time to say all that! It really means a lot as this is a bit of a departure from my car content I usually post. I think a stiffer spring would fix the rear although I haven’t even adjusted the preload there yet. The front forks are soft but I think once dialed in will be fine.
crazy how this bikes faster than the artic leopard pro r
Got it and love it. Wheels, pegs and maybe suspension … really all it needs!
@JRIPFPV lb2 is amazing, i have one. I can’t believe how good it is!! 48 yr pro rider
I have one, its a 125 power in 65 weight. Bike is amazing
I have been riding dirt bikes for 40 years and this bike is amazing. I’m very impressed. I’ve had it for a week. The bike is very fast in turbo and m mode !!! I highly recommend it. I have a 2023 ktm xc 125 and this is just as fast. The bike is very comfortable and i don’t feel cramped on it. The bike does have 5 modes Eco, everyday, sport, m mode, turbo!!! Bike is a blast im very impressed. Pro rider
They are getting better for the snow kit
I have an RTR i just want s bike that doesnt overheat every time i ride it
Pretty cool and very powerfull e-bike. Great ride. Greetings from Poland
hardly a crash, just a lowside in slippy condish. and yeah softer tires, compound or the pressure will help with stuff like that. plus you hit that regen slowing down to pass people. you are good, all that matters!
It’s honestly such a huge step up, I’m loving it too! 🔥
Assuming the discharge remains linear, 50 mi of range seems pretty good to me.
All I can say is the surron stole the SRPNT DRIVE TRAIN it sounds just like it
0:18 Exactly :) These lightweight e-motos tick all the boxes: lightweight, agile for technical riding, capable of wheelies, high top speed, and great acceleration. I have a Talaria MX3 (not the XXX); it’s comparable to the older Sur-Ron LBX—just a bit heavier than the original LBX, though the new LBX weighs exactly the same as the MX3. The Talaria has the edge because it uses a sealed gearbox rather than a belt drive, which could snap out on the trail. Sure, the gear oil needs changing every 1,000 km, but that’s a quick job to do at home; I’d much rather change it frequently than have a belt snap in the middle of the woods and have to push the bike all the way home—which would take half the day. That said, I believe the older LBX is even more agile thanks to its geometry. 14:23 KNIFE ??? I think that’s a utility knife in his right hand—the one that was in his pocket. You made a really good decision to leave right then and there, because it could have cost you your life if he’d cut you with that—especially since people like that don't even feel pain when they're high. He probably confronted you just to threaten you—since he could easily have done something much worse from behind without being noticed—but he was scared shitless himself. 15:48 Use protective gear that can be worn over street clothes!
@J@JohnHicksFilmull yolo send it. Dont listen to any one online. Or irl. The will shit on it cause any thing non typical they see as bad. This wheel setup is unheard of pretty much. But think about it. 21f/r is just 19”f/r scaled up. In OD it ends up like a 26” mtb wheel. On my lb1 I managed to cram an enduro 80/90-21 tire into the swingarm zero issues. This wheel setup is also lighter than going 21/18. In general I gained a ton in efficiency. The bike did well in every place but deep sand. Yes In mud it’s great. I do trail and full on enduro on this wheel setup. Anyhoo worst case you will have a realy great video about this custom wheelset that will get many clicks for sure. And out of all the mods I have done to my bike over the years, everything I have tested etc, this is the best thing I ever did to my bike. It rides like your on a rail. And still keeps the bike light af and nimble
The addition of crawl mode is a very good thing............ Not thrilled with the noise
Definitely not sneaking down any neighborhood with that. Seems like a good bike but the noise is too much for that kind of money.
Cool bike. Tire pressure seems like it was high based on sounds and reaction to the square edge bumps.
dont wanna be that guy but at 33 seconds in i heard some thing
the motor sounds like a whinning baby lol
looks okay. yes it has more kw but my talaria mx5 and other bikes still have faster top speed. thats disapointing i cant lie for 24kw. also they copied talaria and a few other brands with the gearbox lol
5:14 that aint good! lmao bad wheel bearings or linkage bearings most likely.
They should have called it the ultra light🥀
This surron is Crazy! Also you forgot to mention the semi solid state chemestry of the battery which is so good compared to standard 50s cells
Always a good day when you use all the suspension on a bike 9:09
Mines a 2024 bro was 12.5kw but with controller does 19, I’m on stock battery and motor, need a 2025 battery really so I can get 25+kw👊🏼
@dopesoap7266I know I have a 25 lbx and its just not fast enough for me. Im surrounded by mountains and long stretches of trails that I need something I could at least go 120 on sometimes. I like to go fast I was hoping this bike could be the one but I might have to look elsewhere or get a bigger bike. I like the light bees because they are just the perfect size for me
yeah agree. even my ultra bee is just a bit small and I am 6ft 180lb
How does 90km top speed not seem logical? My ultra bee with 0 field weakening, all upgraded electronics, 25k-30kw, does 90km/h top speed..Might be because went to a bigger 50T sprocket but regardless, 90km/h top speed is just fine for this stock bike.
