If you take off the back fender and wedge your foot in between the end of the frame that is in a (U) shape, you can kneel on the seat and wheelie much easier. This works on my modded sx500
I own a full modded sx500 have fun either way it 2y later
I did that on a razor sx 500 i made it go 50mph
I did put a genuine razor 650 motor on sx500 and no change in speed. The batteries and controller (power delivery) are identical on all 3 bikes
@jeremywalter5026 yes t he sx500 is good i started riding it when i was 9 and my foot could touch the ground
I put the mx650 motor on mx500 and sx500 and didn’t notice a difference 🤔
Only hating that is marketed and typically sold for more when its the same bike. Same battery and same controller. I put 650w motor on mx500 and sx500 and no 500w motor on mx650 and change is speed
I have had this for almost 5 years and it stills the best ride I've even had
@robertfitzkee3862 you do realize how old that razor MX model is right? Also made for Children. There was no upgrading of these bikes when they were developed. That why they just launched the pro spec. To update from their Walmart version ebike. My upgraded sx500 blows away any gas powered pit bike I’ve ever owned.
Yes, but its negligible difference when I put 650w motor on my kid sx500 and no change in top speed and torque. Hence the reason for video
Used Facebook replace lead battery with lithium 36v 20ah and you just have a much longer lasting bike not faster but goes farther at higher speeds longer and faster charging while reducing weight and allowing for out door storage for longer than a year
Just bought a sx500 today, so far I like it. I’m probably gonna upgrade the battery first then the motor and controller
I have one. Modded it, and fucked it up 3 times. Is it worth it? Hell yes. Is the speed good? Yes! (35mph) I really recommend getting this if you want a pocket rocket.
I got one that goes 60 and also that’s a sx500 not a mx650 amazon has it labeled wrong
I just bought a sx500 and bought all parts I needed from Amazon and eBay to upgrade. I upgraded the motor to a 48v, the battery, controller, throttle, put a 3 speed on, and handle bars as well as some other things and it’s totally different. It hauls ass now. Almost threw me off on accident the first time letting on the throttle and it was only on 1 speed😂
Batteries & Controllers are all the same for MX & SX. The MX650 might have 650W vs 500W but I doubt it as I stated in video when I put the 650W motor on my sons SX500 the top speed didn't change and the 500W motor on the MX650 had the same speed.
It aint dudd🤣 I have both they feel the same and they're the same height.
Mine is electric the SX500 it last to 40 minutes which is enough for me
I have seen brand new mx500 faster than mx650 and vice versa. There is variation in manufacturing. How I suspected the bikes were all the same was last year I replaced the 500w motor on my sons SX500 with factory direct MX650 motor and the top speed was unchanged. The I bought a MX500 & MX650 to prove to myself all the bikes are the same inside (batteries, controller & motor)
yes, the mx650 does 17 mph; the mx500 does the same. The SX500 (green) did 17.6 mph with stock 500w motor; I swapped the motor with a brand new Razor MX650 motor and the top speed dropped to 17.1 mph. That's when it planted the seed for the video. I've seen mx500 faster than mx650 and vise versa. there is slight differences in manufacturing can make a change in performance.
@davidebel9276 The 650 motor has a different sticker. Last year I swapped 500w motor with Razor factory direct 650w motor on my sons bike and there was NO change in top speed and we couldn't notice a change in torque. That's what planted the seed for the this video. Upon opening MX650, MX500 & SX500 the batteries & controllers are all the same. There is slight variation in manufacturing which makes one bike slightly faster than another, but I've seen brand new MX500 faster then MX650 and vise versa
The MX650 and MX500 is the same bike just different colors. If there is a perform ace gain is negligible as I put the 650 motor on my sons SX500 and there was not performance change
from the Y in the seat to foot pegs: SX500 measures 16 inches, MX650 & MX500 is 15 inches As for going to Li-Ion Battery over stock battery. The Stock batteries have 12Ah. The 36V Li-ion battery I used is 16 Ah which is 33% (16/12) more ride time which is over hour. If you go to 20Ah battery you will ride for 90+ minutes
not necessary. I replaced motor on SX500 with MX650 motor, no speed change. I replaced the controller with aftermarket 36v/1000w controller and there was no change. You have to change motor sprocket or go to 48V in order to gain top end speed. see my other videos
@snitchywitchy7930 Last year I Installed a Razor factory MX650 motor on my kids SX500 and the performance was unchanged from the 500w motor... that’s when I started to suspect that they were all the same.
Last year I Installed a Razor factory MX650 motor on my kids SX500 and the performance was unchanged from the 500w motor... that’s when I started to suspect that they were all the same. I recently bought Mx500 and Mx650 and took them apart to to prove to myself that the controller & batteries was the same across all the models. Then I made this video to help others out. There is some slight variation in manufacturing of the motor, hence the reason I’ve seen some Brand new Mx500 faster than mx650’s, but there all about the same top speed
Yes I would be too small I would recommend you get the SX500 Or MX650 but I own a SX 500 it’s really good it’s more of an off road Bike The MX 650 it’s not really good for any type of terrain but there is another type that’s pretty much only for sidewalks and stuff are the RSF which is also made by razor But I wouldn’t recommend that One It looks really ugly and doesn’t perform the best in my opinion SX500 but MX 650 is pretty good But not as much is the SX The good thing about it though is that it’s a bit bigger but if you wanna know where to buy it ask me i’ll tell you yeah but in my opinion SX500 is the best
Ritual Gaming I got mine for free lol it didn’t work but I repaired it and goes more fast the stock speed is 15 mph now it goes 35
I got one with the clicking problem it's an easy fix
I got that one and it is amazing I like to dirtf and it’s just fun
I had one for my daughters. I chose the sx over the mx because the reviews said the sx can go up hills easier and we have a hilly property. I would recommend this bike to every young starter. It's super cheap and after a month they had that thing out skilled which made the transition to a crf 70 and 80 pretty seamless. The only negative I see, is that there is no return spring on the foot pegs. So when they fall they have to reach down and manually return the peg. Not big deal once they got in the habit of it.
Frick the sx500 i rode mine around the block and the battery broke down on me!!!😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
I have the same bike it works amazingly now let's do you ride it in action
