I just use throttle with pedal assist on 0 that way you can pedal without it taking off uncontrollably
500+ miles on mine only issue was the dang horn has to warm up or something they send me all new switches and horn still does the same thing 😂 bike runs like a charm though
Happyrun is a shit company I have the g300 pro it came used bad brakes and a bad controller they sent me used messed up brakes to replace them had to order my own still has less than 10miles on it cuz they won’t send me a controller they keep giving me the run around had it for almost year smh
Under 25 miles riding mine had issues, i purchased online they offered to refund or replace part.
My bike doesnt have any of these issues. I upgraded rear shock, full twist, and ground effects
Not paid just a good bike I enjoyed, I’m still making content with it and still ripping good
I'm 75 and got my e-bike up to about 30, and that was fast enough, LOL. AKA: scared the crap out of me.
@TTRStudios I didn't have a problem with my turn signals your might have been damaged in transport and pushed the button farther back than it should be mines easy to press
I have close to 1000 miles on mine and it has been great. Just mastered pedaling with no hands. Next gonna learn to wheelie it. It definitely can wheelie but you really need to pull up hard and bounce the front suspension up
I've been using mine and I couldnt get the key to turn. It has to do with the battery rail being misaligned. I got it to work by moving the rail up about a mm and tightened down screws.
50 mph, 6500 watts, and a set of pedals nobody's ever going to use. The HappyRun G300 Pro is basically an electric motorcycle that snuck into the bike aisle. @theislander1993okay thanks! It’s been super fun so far. It’s incredibly heavy for me though because I’m 32 and can’t put weight on to save my life so I weigh just barely more than the bike lmao. I should have mentioned I just got mine a month ago and have about 275 miles on it. Just have to figure out how to work this lovely barely existing customer service as I’ve emailed 3 times with very descriptive pictures and explanation for my brake issue and they just responded today saying “sorry we can’t make out the issue via pictures. Can you send a video?” Like BRO my caliper is bad. LOL. Nothing else to it.
No issues as of yet! Only 30 miles on it so far!
Any issues as of today on yours? I just had the rear caliper give out on mine and the piston is staying stuck out on one side causing the pad to rub and my lever has zero pressure. Other than that, no issues on mine. I put a full twist throttle, it’s either on/off, no in between. But I don’t mind it unless I’m trying to maneuver through something tight where I have to go slow. I also attempted to remove the crank set assembly and stripped the threads on my drive pedal so now I’m just stuck with it until It falls off apparently lol. (Wanting to put pegs on instead)
Recently got the G300 pro and it's amazing 🔥
Good job, 👍 that's the one I started with.pretty Fun
I have had mine for three months in Niagara Falls Canada and I just hit 1000 miles !! Still working awsome !! Full grip throttle is the only mod .
I'm also in Canada and just got mine last week. Love the bike but unfortunately I was unaware that there is no way to switch from Mile to KM on the speedometer. That is really the only flaw I can find. Enjoy the ride!
Yooo the branch part took me out 😂😂😂😂 “i barely made it over”
Love the happy run. I feel much more comfortable on pedals than pegs
@Jolton_1294I did the first step but I’m gonna flip it over next. Was a bummer cuz I was miles into the woods when it died. Think I was too rough with it 🤷♂️
I bought a G300 pro a 72 volt 30 ah battery and it's doing the same thing shutting down no power they sent a new controller and it is better but still shutting down. Happy sent another controller. So I sent him your video and said gee you think your batteries might have the same problem.
😮😮😮I got mine June 19th 2026 it keeps shutting down and going into no power mode so happy sent a new controller so I'm about to install it and see if it works. Here's what mine was doing it didn't matter if it was in one two three four five it would go 3 ft and turn off no power you have to stop dead to recycle the power button then it would shut off again then I try 2, 3 ,4 , 5, same thing it might do it 10 times then run right for about 5 miles then shut down I don't care what power setting. Also it wouldn't stay locked for high-speed it would keep dropping down to where it was 28 mph only right now I'm going to install the new controller in see if it works.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
The display/controller for the G300 Pro has a built in BLE module, it works and has a functional app to tune/monitor/lock and unlock the display. It monitors the battery status as well, you can update the the firmware OTA as well. No docs on Happyruns site, but it works. Cruise control also worked after the firmware upgrade. I also had the exact same issues with the key and battery going from off to on, it's completely fn random. To lock the battery, of my close, then just give it a firm shot almost directly in the middle with your palm, weird but works. The bike also has a walk stay nice mode, after you enable it hold down the - button, after about 3 seconds the hub motor will kick on and power the bike forward until you tap the brake/release button. Make sure assist level is set low, you don't want to be the idiot to whiskey throttle your ebike.
This was my first bike. I learned alot but had to unlearn the breaks. It's really hard to maintain due to the build is the biggest downside.
I have one have 550miles on it works fine charges fine runs good if tou don't abuse it and or ride it like a dirt bike you will be fine
I love mine. I've only ridden it a few times on a very rugged dirt track in the woods. Suspension was great, speed was great. I guess I'm just a bit more mechanically inclined because I just push down on the key lock as I turn the key, and push a little bit on the cover itself to close the hatch. I also don't like leaving the toilet open after I piss, so maybe we all got a bit weird in us, but just to be clear, I don't believe in wiping my ass before I shit. Great video!
I just got mine two weeks ago and the bike is already a lemon 25 miles on the bike . I called and asked for a technician they said they don't do that email only lol
I have the camo one just got it two weeks ago and it's already a lemon in my garage at 25 miles error code 08 but before that first day out the box missing screws battery prong broken. Don't buy please no customer service no technician
I've had this bike for 4 months. Put 800 miles on it. I agree that it's fast. but otherwise it's very clunky honestly, lots of squeaking and clunky noises over time. The chain rusted after 60 days, ended up just removing the chain and sprocket. The rear tire wore down pretty low after 500 miles. Their customer support is awful. The bike is fun to ride, but if you ride it often, there is alot of maintenance required. Bolts come loose consistently. Respect the video was good, but the title led me to believe there were some cool features i didn't know about, but the video just highlighted problems / annoyances. Yes the battery compartment sucks, the battery also gets stuck and it's a bitch to remove. Much love.
bummer another hub motor - I have some of those :) the hub motors do fine for the average rider style. I ride the ez places and the hub motors treat me well - up a steep grade for a half mile and the hub overheats, :( I have a dual hub ebike & it climbs a couple miles and it gets warm, but I stop about then to look at the views, the motor cools off a bit and I continue on [nice!] my single hub ebikes tend to get warm and loose power on a grade, sometimes they just lose all power and need a break. the ebike was advertised as "all" terrain , but keep it on the level and it is a fair trail ebike. dont expect it to exceed 6% for more than a few yards. sigh
No. Option is in the control settings. I have mine set for cruise control too. It’s nice.
It probably would have hit over 50 with hybrid nobby, smoother street tires. Those off road tires slowed it down a bit
I got the same issue brother, ive realized that it kinda comes from the lid that you open to charge and put the key into, the two screws i have loosen a bit and added some lube and the noise went away. I did lube the suspension too and legit did all the bushings, rod itself on the shock and it all, noise goes away like 90%
I have personally took it up to those speeds for 3-4 miles straight with little stops and its been fine. On hot summer days, the motor does feel like a pan to cook eggs on with that type of riding plus sun beating on it, but nice cloudy and cool days... 100% you will be fine distance and traffic wise
@Lantzalots I’m going to be honest I couldn’t pin point it so I took a can of wd40 and sprayed everything but the brake pads I did the forks shock pedals handle bars all the nuts and bits let it sit for 24hrs did it again the next day then took it on a ride and now it’s quit as a mouse!!!
2nd ebike for me . Ist ebike sidewalks riding close to the curb on the street and mostly at the mercy of traffic. Also it would do 30 but actually that was to fast for the design. This happrun is built to do 50 (47 ) and is comfortable on the street in traffic. Also very capable off road . Im 82 have owned real motorcycles and dirt bikes . This is not that but still fun. Again goes close to 50 a d feels secure at that speed . If you are older you can stiill ride and not brake the bank . Anyway great video thanks 😎
Definitely a step up from an bike its built to actually go 50 mpr . Not for sidewalk or the side of the road it belongs in the lane it will do 50 but 45 or 47 in traffic. Definitely an off road machine real motorcycle tires and a real Horn !!. Big fun for me 82 yr old . Again Definitely more than an bike. 😳
So what was the clicking sound mine seems to do it also but i.csnt pin point it. Im thinking I need to adjust the brakes. Overall though. Im happy with it for the week that I've had it
I just got mine and I can honestly say I love this bike .. still waiting for the full throttle tho . I’m in niagara Falls, Canada, and I wish somebody else lived near me to ride with.. lol
I bought one and have no regrets. It does everything you'd need from an ebike. Best value out there right now.
I got the 300pro and it’s fire but for some reason doesn’t have as much torque as the 100
My battery keeps scratching the side whenever i put it in and it won't turn on
Nice man yeah the skinny tires really roll a lot better and are not loud. Also, this has a direct drive motor so the motor is completely silent. I do enjoy this bike a lot good choice.
No headlight or brake light or turn signal s
I've had mine for a couple weeks. This things rips. Oh and those zips are for the cables to make a clean look up front🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Uses a lithium battery to hold his baja 😮 that baja is 🔥
@knowledgeseeker1548I like it definitely a Budget bike can't really do Willie's it is pretty fast. Makes interesting noises on the rear end where the suspensions at. But for the price you really can't beat it. The headlight sometimes issues where it starts to flicker and then I turn it off and turn it back on and then outside of that it's been pretty good. Battery does run down pretty quick. If you're full throttle you get about 19 to 20 mi not the full 70
You are over the top man. This thing was simple to put together. I don't understand. I'm 5'7 about 150 lb. Had no problem putting it together. The problem is Happy run sucks ass. Their customer service is the worst I've ever experienced. Mine wouldn't work so I had to diagnose my own. Turned out the display had a chip that burned out. And it took me weeks to +with their great warranty, not)to even get an answer. And I ended up just buying another one instead of waiting for those stupid asses and it fixed it myself And this thing is fast but it doesn't have a lot of torque. If you want to do wheelies you are definitely going to be pulling little hard. And you're stuck with the power you get because it's a rear hub drive. There's no way to increase that torque unless you get another hub drive, battery ,controller ,etc. This bike at most is probably worth $1,500 to 1800. Anyone who compares it to Surron has never driven one , it's night and day. The saron has a lot more power. This thing is also not pedalworthy. The pedal arms are way too short. There's no gear switching. It is not for paddling. It is horrible to pedal. I've had mine for 2 years and I put a lot of miles on it and it's held up. But again I went through a lot of trouble in the beginning
Bought this bike and considering returning it as its very slow off the bottom from what i excepted. Front suspension is very soft even at max stiffness.
check out my review I actually jump and rip the bike.
Busted the hall sensor in mine 80 miles in. They sent a replacement and I had it in 2 days. Kind of annoying but I learned a lot about the bike and had to by new tools for the sprocket and tire but all thing you need with this bike. I use mine almost strictly for trail riding.
@TTRStudiosI do own one and stopped beating it into place and use the key every time
Dude I am so glad to hear that for you. It was a NIGHTMARE at first but as she got broken in she works like a charm, for the most part. I love this bike!
Hey bud, not yet but I only have a few hundred miles on it. I use mine for door dash deliveries and it's the best thing ever.
HAHA dude I just saw this my freaking wrist hurts like S*** after I slam that thing shut! So glad I'm not the only one 😂
Bro - thank the bike gods every night before you go to bed! LOL I'm actually really glad to hear that for you and after I found the right spot to hit the cover, it does close a lot easier now. Still a pain in my arse but I love this freaking bike!
The battery cover is a challenge to get closed! The battery is sometimes a super challenge to get it. A lil work out. I love it tho!!!
Not so happy once you get it. I had nothing but problems with that starting with the battery horn went out in the first week sprocket broke the same day. Do yourself a favor avoid this at all cost!!
I had a problen getting my Happyrun tank to power up.. Turns out that there was nothing wrong with the bike. Just the operator. Love the bike. 👍👍👍
@mrbill672lose some weight chub chub. Mine hits 48 no problem...
It won't, not even close, have one and regret buying it, have to respoke rear wheel loose and striped threads, had a lager rear tube folded over in tire to fit, rear sprocket had to be tighter was grinding on swing arm, rear brake was only touching half of rotor took spacers that were installed for some reson and that fixed it, rear swing arm were axle sits showing were with just over a hundred miles, bikes range sucks also, avoid this piece of crap
This video is EXTREMELY ACCURATE. Definitely my experience in most aspects. They provided me a charger that has a light on it going from solid red to solid green when fully charged. My battery cover closes a little easier, but not much lol. On top of all that, I had to contact the company after having the bike for a week because the battery stopped charging but they replaced it no questions asked. Thanks for sharing!
@Mr.Boom_513 5”10 220 got mine up to 47mph on the phone gps 51 on the bike display… fast enough for these things 😊
For sure! I was planning on doing an update once the weather is a little bit better as the bike has roughly 2K miles on it and still no issues!
I have the same bike with different branding. I love it! Can it ever take a beating!!
Real talk: the G300 Pro absolutely smokes the X2 when it comes to performance. The torque is punchier, especially on hills, and the range is night and day. My G300 Pro always has way more battery left after the same commute.
Hey man I appreciate the positive comment!! Yeah I like the G 100 definitely better for getting around town and commuting. Yeah this is a really fun trail bike. I just released another video of doing some more jumps and trail riding. It does great. I added the full twist throttle.
Front rotor is on left pulling bike the left- lever on right keeps you straight
The cruise control feature, once I found it, has really increased run duration
It’s really fun smashing the rear break and sliding. The bike is very fun
I own the same camo one I run it hard and it is amazing -Atticus
I’ve had this Bike for just under a Year and have 600miles on It. Would I buy it again?? Nope But for the Price it’s Not too bad. First thing I did Was Sand and Strip the paint(I had the Blue and Black one) I repainted it Flat black and Wrapped the Battery with Vinyl wrap. Swapped the Half twist to Full, Put a JFG Surron Xwide seat , new Handle Bars along with Pro Circuit Grips. Next spring I’ll swap the tires to SuperMoto . The suspension SUCKS imo The peddles are only for Legality reasons I’m about to Pull them and Weld on Some Pegs as well. Mine came Broke from Shipping the HappyRun Customer service SUCKS I added extra Insurance for shipping yet it took 2 months to send me a New Light/Signal switch that was busted Upon unboxing. They shipped bike and Battery together then FedEx Separated The two and delivered my Battery 2days before the Bike so That Sucked.
I got my son the G100 pro in May. Its fast for sure, its the same as the 300 pro just cafe racer style. It may be faster than my Bonnell at top speed but the 775mx is way more fun and expensive. Also worth noting the Happyruns are built cheap and you will have issues.
That cup holder got me😅 thanks for the tip this thing is silent n fun to ride👌🔥🔥🤙
@tyedgmon17I have over 1,000 miles on mine and it holding up pretty well.
I do like that it has a hub motor, nice and quiet, less maintenance. I don't need to do wheelies so I don't need torque. Its just smoooooth. They need to make some high end hub motor ultra-b type bikes.
I love it so far and I'm only up to the rear shock 😊
Bike is chill , first thing I did was swap the brake levers to the “correct” sides 😂
It goes 45mph but these hub motors take forever to hit that speed. Like 30-40 secs or more and you need about a mile to hit that. Mid drive like in the Light Bee is much quicker to hit top speed. Not crapping on this bike but it is important to understand the difference in powertrains and what makes a Surron more expensive.
It’s the perfect low-key trail bike. It’s so quiet! I’ve finally sent it on my channel . It’s a decent little ripper.
Don't believe anything this company has to say. My frame snapped I'm still under warranty and I've heard nothing from them back. I even sent proof. I'm so frustrated. It has been well over a month. I cannot get a hold of anyone do not buy this!
when you run the bike hard in 4/5 th gear you get half the experience i got mine for $1,999 off fb market 0 miles broke my horn the first day x) infront of a cop
I own a happyrun g300 pro and it's great. It's a surron alternative.
We did get a different model and the motor sensor went out. Email response was ok, and they sent another motor. Sucked to wait and replace it, but works now.
Check the screws holding the battery rail. The battery may not be seating properly. This may also be causing the battery door to not close. I have no issues with mine at all.
Thanks for letting me know, glad my video helped you pick out an EBike you are happy with. I just rode mine yesterday, pretty fun bike. 😊👍
I have a rear hub drive motor rated at 8kW and I found to my dismay when I came down hard on the rear the weight of that motor caused the rim to bend. Light off road, more urban cruiser I think is the intent and with that, it hits the mark.
Yes it does. I'm new to e bikes and when I first got it, I was waiting at a red light in traffic and tried to pedal forward a little bit and it started to go. It scared the crap out of me, but fortunately I didn't panic and braked before hitting the car in front of me. 😂
Just got the bike great vid but horn came broken and suspension make woerd noise
mine only goes 43 mph full charge true i am 6'3'' 220 lbs . kinda too smooth bottoms out real ez but for $ 1500.00 u can't beat it
got mine today all part were there i was abul to get it to go 57mph and iam 6 4 260 lbs just remove drit tires and use street way quiter and smoother, grate deal for 2300, iam happy
I have the g300 pro and have had it for about 2 months. So far so good. It does wheelie also just much easier to do from a roll. Not near enough torque to go from stand still. My horn went out and customer service literally answered my email with in 24 hours which is great business practice. Plus it was from overseas so time difference is a factor. They sent me a repair video of something to try and it worked right off the bat. Knock on wood, I have been loving this bike. Definitely agree you have to maintain it. Loctite on all the bolts and work ins on the brakes so you’re not burning those out because you didn’t allow for the break in time. I started with after market pedals just because I wanted different style and I added a full throttle out of the box just from a moto-x background wanted it. I also switch brake levers from front brake to right side and rear to left side to be more moto x style since it’s a habit. Other than that. Haven’t changed anything and love it.
I have that bike i already have 400 miles on it i love it
I have the same bike with no issues regarding the install of my battery or closing the batter compartment/cover.
Great review & very fair! I have an orange G300 Pro & so far so good although it's only been about 3-4 months. No real issues other than the squeaky noise(s) that you spoke of but after using some WD40 that went away btu I could see how more might be required in the future. Other than that, my only gripes have been with the parts that they seem to go back & forth with on this model, for example some have the 3 in 1 turn signal switch with the blue indicator light while other like me & you only have the basic switch with no light. Also my headlight is only one color setting while others have multiple color settings including the yellow fog light option. Oh yeah almost forgot that some have two 17 inch wheels while other like myself have an 19 inch in the the front & a 17 inch in the back. Just be more consistent HappyRun!!
Great video. I had before I got my G300 a G52. Bad right out of the Box. Took 2 months to get a refund after I had to pay $545 to return it. Customer Service is Non Existant. I just got a G300. Runs really good. No problems so far. Sure is fast
Bike is just falling apart left and right all spoke blew out on my rear wheel. The front forks completely Move because the bushing is toast. The rear swing arm same thing I’m on my second rear shock because the bottom bushing of that shreds. And go figure it shredded right away so 2nd shock junk. Sucks because other than the lack of torque the bike is fast and fun. But I 100% would not buy this.
42mph max speed, 26.9 mile range full charge till dead and having friend come and pick me up rear sprocket grinds againts frame if pedaling, good luck
Yes it goes 50 pretty easily unless you got a steep hill, my steepest hill slowed me down to 34.5MPH. Range is tough bro, I CAN'T kill the battery....I can get it low, but every time I stop it clicks back up to 3 o 4 bars. I would say at max throttle and no pedal you'll probably get 35 miles EASY. If you're smart you can maybe get 45 miles on it.
Bro I just got mine and it won’t turn on when I built her I was excited I charge the battery over night and in the morning I rode it perfectly fine I get home turn it off take out the battery to charge i woke up the next day excited to ride her and now it won’t turn on idk what I did wrong I didn’t even ride her hard at all
I got one Same one G300 Pro Blue one. The Bike Squeaks and Creaks while your riding It’s annoying mostly But the Squeaky Noise Will happen And it sucks . Also Get a new Seat ! LunaCycle float seats fit also JFG extra wide and Thick Surron seat on Amazon fits great that’s what I got. Added a Full Twist throttle, a ODI Number Plate, New Peddles and Next I’m Getting some super moto tires cause the Off road tires sucks. I’m gonna strip the Factory paint and Sand it Then Primer and Paint Next. It’s a OK Bike But HappyRun Service SUCKS BAD I got mine With a Broken Turnsignal in the Box 📦 It took 1.5 months for Happy Run to even reply to my many emails. I added 50$+ Optional Shipping insurance So Why it took them almost 2 months Is kinda messed up. I have all the local kids wanting to ride it and A lot asking me to Wheelie lol 😂 it’s a Good Bike for the price But as many other E-bikes You’ll be putting 100$s into aftermarket parts. Just ordered some DirtBike Bars so I can ditch the factory HappyRun Bars
I have had mine for one month and love it but the rake angle on the front forks is off, I have hit 52 mph and the front forks wobble slightly, its pretty sketchy not gonna lie! but I still love it
@Reem_Geez Facts me to have the orange version over a month they communicate with customer service just fine all the time like you said. I even got caught in light rain and still no problem.
@ElectricShock19 Yeah i'm interested to hear more because I have this bike (the orange version) & i've had it for over a month now & I still luv it. Perhaps his was just a lemon or he's just trolling. It happens! And I'm in a Happyrun bike group on facebook & nobody there has said that there bike didn't last & people there mention how they communicate with customer service just fine all the time. IJS
I thought I may feel a weight problem but just cruising around you don’t feel a difference. Maybe bigger jumps and wheelies you’d feel it more
@Dopedank69 my front fender and the cheap pump was missing. after 2 days riding it, the freehub failed.
Hi, I just got this bike and its been awesome but recently my bike is making this popping/ clunking type sound just while cursing and I think its coming from the rear shocks. I've tighten up all bolts and nuts and noise is still there. Have you run into this issue before? Iv already contacted happyrun about this matter and waiting for a reply.
Just picked one up already falling apart less then a week in. Support isn’t the best either claiming stuff has to be ordered from china !? Front fork guard came broke front fender came broke. Brake sensor won’t work to get it out of park on one of the brakes…. And the rear shock has a bushing at the bottom that blew out so the bike can’t even be riding right now 60lb rider no reason for that bushing to be blown out other than it just isn’t made good hopefully they make it right or im going to blast them every where I’m Hoping all These YouTuber aren’t paid to hype a bike up that I just spent 2.5k on and is already falling apart 7 days in !!!
This bike is legal to ride due to the pedals but he's right about the acceleration Being slower isn't as good for hills, wheelies but they do have a good top speed the brakes also for the speed it goes isn't what you might hope still good bike
also pretty disappointing for a 72v 6000w, somehow my 52v 1000w ebike accelerates much faster than this, somethings wrong with it for sure
Bought this for $2500 and it is absolute crap. Returned it immediately Bought the ETM RTR for $3200 and now I'm hitting 55 mph on a QUALITY #1 RATED BIKE!!!!
@TylerDeaton-ix6rf Just got mine today didn’t come with battery either but that’s being shipped separately so should be a couple more days. Didn’t have an issue with front fender, but front adjustable suspension is different because I can’t adjust by hand like they show in the videos
The stock spring is fully adjustable you can tighten it so it’s not as bouncy
The worst bike. I bought one. Came with a bent wheel and did not start. The company was horrible it took hell to get a refund. My inbox is full of people seeking advice to get theor refund. You will be buying the biggest piece of shit ever if you buy this. Mark my words or waste your money
I tried a Hub build for dirt/trail/singletrack riding. They are terrible for maneuverability. Too rear heavy.
10:10 Durability test for people who are interested
