I have a x2 pro. Mine hit 45 in pedal assist mode 2 it has super plush or harsh suspension depending on the dial adjustment. Mine came with a full twist throttle. The brakes are under powered but I have no problems upgrading them. With performance at the price point you have to make some upgrades plus working on them is fun as helll
@official.jtm.2xthat’s not true. It’s what the bike is capable of, not what mode it’s in. Yeah in “City Mode” it’s a class III “e-bike” with a limited motor, but the cops are cracking down bad on these. The bike is more than 750w and can go up to 55mph, so it’s not an e-bike, and is actually too powerful to be classified a moped. It’s a an electric motorcycle/dirtbike, requiring it to be registered and insured in most states. Unfortunately Freego bikes do not come with an MCO or VIN making it virtually impossible to make it “street legal” Cool bike for the trails, but can get taken away quick if you run into the wrong blues in the street. Btw - I have one and it’s so much fun 🤙
I have a x2 pr0 love it but changing rear tubes is a pain. My only complain, t but working on bikes is as fun as riding so not that much of an issue
r19 weighs 150 pounds its wide not nimble or torquey like the x2 pro
In peddle assist 1 it meets those expectations
@xstatic13I dont know much about that one. Im 6'2 250 and the freego hauls my ass around good. It will go 55 60mph with me on the flat. Its no power house just depends what youre looking to do with it. If you want something for just riding around this one has been super reliable. I have a talaria komodo and its super powerful and the charging time is super quick. The freego takes time to charge. Some thing to keep in mind
Yes it was new new and after a few miles everything was good. Got over 1100 miles on it now and still works perfectly. The new suspension was just noisy at first
The Freego X2 Pro is definitely a solid choice for both fun and street legality. That's why I still ride it a lot.
@kingayden-h498 85, but I had my heavy 5.11 backpack on me. That's +8. So I was 93 during the speed test.
Everything has been solid with the motor so far, but I'll let you know if I run into any trouble.
The half throttle messed it up for me still an amazing bike though
I still ride it and it's been almost a year now
1:41 that suspension is making a lot of noise there
I beat the absolute dog shit out of my Freego X2 Pro this summer. Rode that for 2500 miles and then upgraded to the Eride Pro SR. If you are considering the freego vs happyrun, the freego battery is 60v 30ah so honestly I would get the happyrun if you can. Extra volts means more range at the end of the day. Cool video!
Can’t complain about my freego x2 pro, it’s amazing🤩
Freego x2 pro over happy run. Happy run dont wheelie
That suspension was making all that loud noise 😮
Yeah! Thanks for the info! I got almost 300 miles on it with zero issues and I love it. Great bike for the money for sure. Definitely want a stark now lol
Yeah i checked that out to. I had it 60 down hill and 62 doing a burn out lol
Yeah it's been a great unit. Got about 300 miles on it and no issues
Glad to hear that. Not about your broken screen..... but yeah tons of fun. Have well over 200 miles on mine so far and no issues. Great bike for the price
Thats good to hear! Before I bought it i was having a hard time finding a new video on the bike. But yeah I got over 200 miles on it and no issues
Agreed, it's been my daily ride for awhile now.
This is definitely on par with the surron for a fraction of the price. Im happy with mine
The wire harness hits the fender. Could zip tie out the way better and the suspension is creeky with my ass on it. I'm 6'2 265 so when my 115lb 13 year old rides it, it's totally fine lol
That's awesome to hear! I'm loving it so far and my boy is getting the hang of it pretty quickly. I have a garage a couple miles down the road and been using it to get back and forth. It definitely doesn't feel sure footed on gravel for sure lol. Thanks for the comment and info 👍
Freego x2 pros are awesome. Just hit 1100 miles on mine. The fairings are cheap trash plastic. And i stripped out the wheel hub to pedals bearing in the first 200 miles. Been running on just motor and its been amazing. 150lb rider. Frames seem solid , rear suspension is great, front shocks seems a little spongy but still good. Brakes are solid. Top speed 46mph. Riding in traffic (give or take 25-45mph) im getting about 15 miles per charge. Seems to handle getting wet and dirty but avoid the following. HEAVY RAIN , STANDING WATER, ROADS SPRAYED FOR ICE AND SNOW / SALT WATER/SAND
No because he is right when i got my freego x2 pro it was 56 degrees out and it went 43mph but with the brown wire cut got it 45mph and in summer i got it to 48mph with supermoto tiers like 54mph
1700$ I would man . Its not the best ebike but I been trashing it around and love it for the price point. Me being a bigger guy I would get something bigger but if it fits you get it brother
I took the 500 out the other day. Busa battery was dead dead
@FullCourtWit's probably the same. To be honest i dont know the differences. I know this one goes fifty and I had it almost 60 down hill
Lol thats awesome! I always wanted to build a overland truck. The trails around here are soild rock and they suck!!! But yeah I been using here and there and it's awesome. I definitely want a stark now lol
On mode 2 it's capped to 28mph. That's the legal limit for a street legal ebike . It still pulls good just slower. Mode 3 pulls a little harder and I had it 58mph down hill and still going. Great bike for the price
I get 52 mph on flat on mine july of 2025
It goes pretty quickly. Not as fast as my Throne SRPNT though ⚡️⚡️⚡️
By the time I got back home, all of the squeaks were gone ⚡️⚡️⚡️
The squeaking is all the cables are too tight. Need to give them some slack or adjust them with new zip ties. I have one and mine was squeaking the same when I got it. Always like to see videos with these bikes (EKX 21max) and freego x2 & pro I’m 6ft so riser bars new pedals etc make it comfortable for you 👍
It’s more rigid than their aluminum frame. I dont have the previous version but this one is good. Im enjoying riding the bike every time i ride.
Those squeaks were ridiculous. It seems as though nothing was greased adequately before leaving the factory. Right now, the derailed is my issue. Thanks for watching ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Battery indicator has a lot of lag to it. I have one they are nice but mine doesn’t squeak like that. Not at all…
Yes. The axle was greased upon install. The squeaks got quieter toward the end of the ride. It is less annoying now. It still needs a squirt or two somewhere. Thanks for watching ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Mine just hit 800 miles and i have zero complaint. Pedals keep you off radar
@ it’s an awesome bike! I love it overall but, since I’m a taller rider 6’3” is incredibly uncomfortable to pedal. My butt comes off the seat. The second thing being taller heavier rider (215lbs) is the rear shock. From factory it sags a lot when I sit. I’ve upped the compression it didn’t help much, so next is adjusting the preload. Other than those two gripes (because I’m taller/heavier) the bike is fantastic!
The mode doesn’t matter I just used it to stay under a certain miles per hour, whenever I took off after a stop. I was in 2 majority of the time but switched later to get it to move. I went 21 miles an hour because that’s the best speed to really compare it to almost any other bike. This definitely won’t be my last speed test. I wanna do one at 28 and then a third speed test as fast as I could go, but I have to find somewhere that’s a long road where I can stay at that top speed.
When I was riding and twisted the throttle it would drop to 49.8v but after letting it sit for 5 min it showed 53v.
I’m going to do a faster ride soon with higher speeds. But I’m currently at mega ride we did 29 miles yesterday and got back with 59volts left so we could have done another 5 miles I feel and there where some major hills and two times we went over 30.
This checks out. I got 26 miles -GPS on Speedometer. ~270 pound rider with gear. 70F, strong head winds, random throttle; mix of street and beach riding, but lots of stop and go. With one bar left, had to peddle the last few blocks home to get over like 13mph. Pretty happy with mine (EKX Max)
I’ll be making a video on which one I like more soon but I have less issues with the pro. The components on the pro or beefier than the original, especially the rims and tires. I have so many problems with the spokes on my original X2. If I was the name, one part that gives me the most trouble, it would be the spokes. They’re 14 gauge. Which is like a bicycle that 3000 W hub motor put so much torque on them they don’t stay in the rim is thin. I barely touched the curve and bent it. One of my night ride videos shows me beating on it with a hammer. The pro has a thicker rim that’s a couple millimeters wider and 10 gauge spokes. Any other flaw people point out aren’t as critical as the spoke issue. At least in my eyes, everything else can be upgraded and changed. But I will get the pro and the only thing I would upgrade is full twist throttle and a more heavy duty rear shock.
I’ve gotten 14 miles with riding dirt trails with only throttle
Yea, i have a full twist right now. You know how it is when you never had something and you're like "l gotta see what all the rage is about" well.. wasn't much to rage about except the cramp after a ride 😂 and i have a 40ah pack so my rides were long.. @joshwright9136
I can get this bike over 35mph I was told when I bought it that it will go 50mph
I got this on pre order and have not had issues this thing is a beast only thing im really disappointed in is its not water proof
I only got up to 41 mph on a slightly downhill road
Speed showing on bike screen, don’t know how accurate but it sure is scary fast enough for the bike. PS spokes are heavy duty as well. Latest version is very impressive & I’m nothing but smiles. Thanks for the mod list, I’ve purchased the throttle & grips from it, so far the brakes are good, not great, may swap the rear for the ones you did. The throttle I got doesn’t work/do anything, I’m sending back & trying another one, hope it works. Great vids, keep it up. Bike came with phone holder also so everyone knows before buying one like I did.
Just received new x2 pro, got it to 54mph, flat ground, I’m 5’10 180lbs. Came with a rear derailleur which is weird because it had no gears, called Freego, haven’t heard back yet. Mine came dark grey, not silver like I’ve seen, looks great and happy with color, spokes are silver to, just to let you know if anyone cares.
@Theerealdavproductions50 as advertised. The only reason I bought it.. I have a Grizzly V3 that goes about as fast as my X2pro. So I’m very unhappy about the X2pro. Should have got the X2. Not the X2pro…
They lied about the speed. And that’s the only reason I bought it. I have a Grizzly V3 that is as fast as it is even faster take off. So the only reason I bought it is they said it would go 50mph. Barely goes 40mph on a slightly downhill. I even emailed them to make sure it would go 50mph before I got it. They said it would go 50mph you know that’s a lie. I am very unhappy about it. I have nothing good to say about people that lie about their products
I really don’t like that It doesn’t go 50 mph.. hate I got it. Very bad when people lie about their product. So when people lie about there product I don’t have anything good to say about them or their product.. gonna see if I can sale it. I have a Grizzly V3. It will go 38mph. The only reason why I bought the X2pro is the 50 mph they said. And that’s a lie. I e-mailed them before I got it asked about the speed. They said it will go 50mph . Can’t return it because of the open box and I have taken it for a ride. Witch is the only way I could find out if it goes 50.. I am very unhappy with this bike…
when y'all hit the horn three times does the bike die? the rear shock is bouncey. the brakes are ehhh you get used to them. would be cool if the fardriver is tunable? I have a dongle . I wanna get a different headstock for the bars they feel a bit far out just me. I get like 55 sometimes but not for long I hate the NFC card thing . can you change it to the newer version. my battery flap makes a lot of chatter when shredding. bike sucks when it dies there's no pedaling it home. the seat really pushes you forward hard to get good lean backs and do circle wheelies idk I'm just short. I rock it with out a fender to look less inconspicuous. yeah helping it when taking of helps give it just a little pedal then zooommmm it'll go up some giant hills with ease. nice review y'all check out the tuttio next its like a like drz125
2500 buck holy smkes i love mine but i did not pay close to that my spokes always make noise but i need to ride it mre
@ben_headley99 I wouldn't say it's built better at all. That new battery add on rack snaps right off .. happened to mine and my buddies wired bikes.
Got mine! Front brake rotor was damaged. After replacing the rotor, the rear tire tube exploded while I was removing the tire and cable. The cables were damaged. Additionally, the rear brake doesn't align with the brake rotor, so only about 30% of the brake pads make contact.
I bought the x2 and would definitely not recommend Free go at all they sent the bike with loose spokes which broke almost instantly. They have done nothing to help except try and charge me more. Beware it’s garbage.
Yea I have the OG Freego x2 and the only thing better about the pro is the seat angle
Yup definitely, although it was wasn't out in the cold too long before I did that top speed test. It was just down the block and I had the battery indoors right before I left.
@ if you asked me if an FD and PAS was overkill a week ago I would have 100% agreed lol. I just really like how it works on this bike for some reason. Hard to explain. Its like if I dont want to ride the Surron but also not a regular ebike in certain situations - this setup splits the difference in a good way.
@EUCnFPV yeah I hear ya, the pedals on V1 were for pretending to be street legal. Whats compelling to me is they figured out PAS on a Far Driver that mimics a torque sensor for the Pro. I didn't think PAS would be useful at all on this bike...until I tried it. An FD that can be tuned with a PAS sensor is why I'm glad we reviewed the Pro over the original. But I can see why the rest of the features don't make sense compared to V1 especially since its marketed as an upgrade. It should have just been marketed as non PAS and PAS - to appeal to those specific categories of riders. There would be less confusion if they just sold them at the same price point.
