@maximumchargeEV don’t know what cause it caught on fire it happen right after I started the king goat e-bike the controller been having issues for long time power goat bikes said may been damaged controller or error that why they send me a new motor, controller and Wires
I have king goat e-bike love it but week ago the controller area caught on fire now just waiting for power goat bikes to ship new parts
It pulses the brakes. It does help a bit but not drastically. I usually leave it off.
I only destroyed 6 drones so far. hahaha
I have a power goat with over 9,000 miles and still going strong. I've had no issues and have not had to replace anything but brakes and tires. I am really happy and will be a forever customer of goat power bikes. I may consider a king goat however when it comes to replaceable motor is my only concern due to a mid drive. I may just keep my power goat and just upgrade it.
I have the power goat v3, got mine up to a top speed of 60.4mph and that’s according to gps on an app. Idk what settings you had it set to or just went 100% stock? But you can def get it up to 60 tops
I try to ride these bikes pretty much stock.
@Allenmarshall I have zero range anxiety with this bike. It is a great feeling!
16:06 I find them to be very nerve-wracking wheels on any but completely dry surfaces. If the streets are wet it feels 100 times more dangerous and susceptible to sliding compared to my other e-bike the segway xyber. Of course ideally you avoid those situations, But sometime for one reason or the other you get caught in the rain and you gotta be sonewhere so stopping and waiting it out just isnt an option. Pop it down to "3" and ride like a granny on the side of the road, hopefully out of everybody's way. But braking the goat makes me nervous. I don't get nervous on the xyber as caution suffices. Thanks again for the video review I love watching these. I'll be sure to keep up with your channel, amigo. ✌🏼
I landed around 110 miles on this thing one day running errands all around the city. My plan was to just stay out until the battery was about to die and then I'd head home. I ended up staying out all day and still made it home without getting stranded. It's a great feeling to be able to be that comfortable and careless about fuel limitation. 👍
Thanks for the video! Just got mine along with the dual battery pack. I did a little over 60 miles a few days ago, and no range anxiety at all.
It’s heavy just like the cyber you need moto boots
I thought I was going to be sore but this seat had me feeling the best of all long range reviews.
Thanks! I like to test them to their limits. In all reviews, I normally ride these bikes until the battery dies or the assist stops.
I love these long rides where you really test these bikes out, especially the larger battery ones to see if they really go far or not. Most other reviewers barely seem to ride a bike 15 miles which isn’t really much of a test imo.
lol! I added the 50amp battery to my mini-goat and I did a video trying to kill the battery. it took me two days 95 plus miles and I still didn’t kill the battery. I was going to suggest you try to use it for this tri-state trip. I love it
@easyheimer I have had it over a year. Just ordered the King Goat. Bryson says 60+
Im at 6’4” 275lb rider, I got the seat extension and 2nd battery. very happy with it. Ball end mirrors are a must, and personally the I think the magura mt5’s are a necessary upgrade. Especially if you plan on having 2 riders.
I was wondering if any one else has noticed that the display gives wrong voltage reading. I have noticed because I use a 80/20 charge and is 12 miles to and from work. So when I charge it to 80% I have a dead battery when I should have 20% left. Also the voltage cutoff is 51v when it should be 47v. Lastly ot takes an extra one hour to charge to full battery after I do calculations. All those combined it is a 4 volt difference than what it shows.
The loudness of the motor is due to the controller. I met a local guy with MGv3 with a Sabvoton controller and it was much quieter than my stock PGv3. It has a winding sound instead of the grind sound like stock.
I have the motor goat at out of the box it did 46 mph. 240lb rider.
@doctadrey3000 I got mine a month ago, im 140lbs and my top speed is 45-46mph. I got the Billy Goat V3 and its awesome. I dont have any complaints I guess i would rather have motorcycle style wheels/ tires but you can easily upgrade them. I did get a flat in my innertube within 150 miles but thats because of the road i was in.
I own the motor goat v3 and it's the same specs both are amazing. Most people ride with gloves so you can't even notice the handles how they feel. I'd recommend the big frame battery if you wanna do some long range. Bike is amazing. I own big frame battery and never been stranded. I recommend to add flat out on your tires before your 1st ride. Also not all stock breaks not good I changed my breaks and their super silent and stop on a dime. Have fun ride safe. Just wanna say ive only seen 45mph not full on 50mph but it's my main mode of transportation and its great to go anywhere
I have dual battery on my motor goat and dual battery on my power goat and I bought both of my bikes and the two extra batteries back in January of 2024 and I had a 15% discount off of the entire order so I was able to get one bike for like 1950 and the other for like $2,100 I'm both of my batteries for something like 4:50 a piece. I've had a couple of wrecks at 50 Mi an hour on each one of my bikes and the only thing that got hurt was me because these bikes are built like a brick shithouse and as a welder fabricator engineer the Welding and Fabrication on these bikes is Top Notch 5 out of 5 stars. You're not going to damage disease the bikes, they're pretty much indestructible
I have hit 51 mph on the motor goat and 61.3 MPH on the power goat
I have a power goat with (2)20 amp hour batteries which gets me 40 mi all throttle. So it's not inconceivable to get 90 to 95 miles if you peddled a little.
yes.. i was hoping 5o but 47 is all i got and that was passing a cop lol
I got the power goat and when my breaks started getting wack a 400 miles in I just changed em out for the maguras
Good video. The thought process that everyone goes through with PEVs is interesting & entertaining. If you wanted to rank these e-bikes, the Goat’s would fair well for pedal bikes; however, that’s a false rubric for anyone that knows anything about this class of EV. You also touched on it. A rare number of people actually pedal this type of e-bike, yet it’s oftentimes factored into any analysis, which IMHO is misguided. Every e-bike that I see with bike components is heavily scrutinized due to the confusion that it causes. Due to the added weight/speeds, IMO standard bike components should be eliminated. That’s the #1 rule, next is real world performance. Some of these machines are brittle & when pushed fail. I haven’t had that as an issue, up until recently when I rode in the rain & during a storm. That’s when you learn what it’s made of & what it’s capable of. As far as seats, I’ve got a couple seats in route from Tapia Seats…can’t wait to put them to the pace & see how they hold up. The lock feature on the Goat is fantastic; I haven’t seen that feature mentioned in other reviews or maybe I wasn’t paying attention, but that’s an excellent feature to have on these PEVs…wish more manufacturers focused on security as much as all the other major components. Thanks for sharing. Cheers.
I took a wide drill to it and came right out
Get a diff seat? You can get a workout on this if you want, scooters you can’t. I use it for both 🤷🏻♂️
@josephpuchel6497 I did. So far, it's been great. It does go 50 miles an hour for me. I already have over 1000 miles on it since it's my daily commuter. Got pulled over the day before yesterday. Sheriff thought it was a motorcycle. As soon as I told him it was electric and that it had pedals, he said, "You're good. Thanks for wearing your helmet." And that was it! lol It's worth every penny I spent on it and then some.
@ElectricAdventureChannel Thanks for the reply. I was just concerned about the amount of heat, but I’ll just have to keep my eyes on it. I’ll probably take the headlight enclosure apart and see if i can disconnect the wires to those always on lights. I thought there might be a setting in the computer to turn it off. It’s not a big deal. I’m really impressed with it so far. This is going to be perfect for cruising around my neighborhood and short trips around town.
I just got mine today. It has far exceeded my expectations. My old bike was 750 watts 1500 max. And would struggle just to maintain 25m.p.h. I wasnt sure what to expect from this, since I had never rode any other e-bikes. On power level 3 it got to 20 mph so fast i thought the display must be overly optimistic and had to check it against a gps speedo on my phone. It climbed the steepest hill in my neighborhood at 20 without being close to full throttle, and my old bike would be gassed at about 3-4 mph to get to the top. This feels like more like a motorcycle than an e-bike. The headlight is blinding. I thought maybe it had a couple of dim bulbs in a big fancy housing, but nope, it is very bright. I could keep on praising it, but I wonder if you could answer a few questions for me. Does your charger get really, really hot. Mine gets so hot I’m afraid not to be in the same room when it is charging. It came almost fully charged, and I only had to charge it about an hour and a half. I’m wondering if this is normal. Do you know if there is a way to turn off the slotted lights in the headlight enclosure that are always on? I think they draw attention and I want as little as possible when riding a bike that looks like a motorcycle. Thanks for any help you can give me.
@highdrone69fpvakamasterroshi I just orded this giant battery pack. mine hasnt sagged probably because of sommany short rides nothing crazy long and I usually drive in a mid mode...
@ColoradoAdventureChannel i got like 500 miles..I used 2 batteries mines are in 70.9... but I'm noticed battery is going down i power faster than before on same distance 😪
yeah it should.. I ride gravel fine too.. thanks for watching, such a great bike
I’m riding mostly gravel.. I backed off the rear suspension tension and it suits me pretty well in my humble opinion .. but I only own 2 e-bikes
One of my 2 batteries has already failed in 2 months on this bike.. waiting for replacement.. beautiful country there ✌️
This is definitely true. I own a Motor Goat, you can turn up the start power, which gives you more torque.
I have the the Motor Goat with 3000 watts. It came out of the box and did 47 mpg this is version 3. I also weight 235 so 47 is a great speed for the weight. Love your videos.
That’s what my Power goat ran out of the box. Another battery on the way.
I inquired about a Power Goat V3 ebike before I ordered it since I'm a bit particular on some of the details of the PEVs I buy, and I got a response from the owner claiming the cells inside were 50S cells... then I get my bike and it has performance sag terribly even at just 63V (charged is 71.4, dead is 51, so that's awful; it's a 17s pack), and the pack is labeled (by the third party that makes it) as "S2170-50GB", inferring to me that it's Samsung 21700 50G (rev B) cells... I ordered it so fast after being told it had 50S cells. By the owner that also sent progress pics of a new ebike configuration, so it seemed reputable--but it does not have 50S and nearly 20% of the battery's capacity is unusable due to the awful performance sag. I get that on budget bikes, but having the owner lie to me to get a sale seems messed up... I was ghosted after I brought it up to them over a week and a half ago, the day I got the bike--and am making a new ticket now to see if they respond. I wasn't even being super harsh or anything, I brought it up by asking if it was possible if I had an older revision of the bike or something, but I should've known that was silly to ask since the 50S was out for a while and the bikes are very low stock often... I was trying to be nice, but I was basically scammed.
Great review. I have the power goat and absolutely luv the thing. I jave second battery aswell and i ride this thing 20-30km per day to work and it gives me joy on both ways to and from work knowing im about to just rip it.. ive got about 1400km now and only had to do break pads once and 1 flat tire. Breaks do squeel alot though. Ive owned many ebikes in the past 5 years and for the money this thing is proving itself to be a total savage. Keep the reviews coming.
I have the Power Goat and have the same exact issues with my bike(I have dual batteries so I don't get the voltage sag as much). I'm scared to hit the brakes like that because I don't want to have to change the rear tire (looks like a nigtmare). You're spot on with this review! I'd give it a 8/10. Bike is a blast to ride!
That's the only complaint i have with mine. The brake light and turn signals in back are too small
Hopefully you went into the screen settings and figured it out. You can have up to 9 peddle assists. I use 5. I've gotten mine up to 43mph
I have a Motor Goat v3. Love it. They have some kinks to work out but for the money it's one of the best bikes you can get.
I’m 6,4 270lbs …. I’m averaging an easy 40 mph depending on head wind and incline I was able to get 45 and with a little down hill 48-49. This bike is great
I hit 3000 Watts on my motor goat V3 and my power goat V2 every time I hit the throttle
I have the motor goat V3 and I love that bike Dual battery
I ordered mine in January got it late may. But I think as time gose on goat bikes are catching up to orders. This is a amazing deal and as more people catch on the more demand and wait times are to be expected but it's definitely worth the wait.. I love my 2 power goats. I've owned at least 5 similar style ebikes over the past 7 years and this bike absolutely sets it self apart from everything I've owned including the super 73 rx. Nothing compares when not even considering price..
Glad i went with the motor goat. Im over 240lbs and hit 48mph just fine on the way to work.
I own the power goat and to be honest you don't want to go any faster.
Kyle, thanks for this review. I ordered a Motor Goat back in April, similar specs to this one except for the battery (25 AH, and a 63v 17S battery that looks like a gas tank). It looks like I'll be able to cruise easily in the 30-35mph range.
