Will Goat power honor broken motors. My motor on King goat is broken 4 times and they stopped replying my messages.
Get a solar generator and you would be ready for any blackout scenario/apocalypse 😉. I like my Rev1 DRT, but I love the power of the Hulk Goat. It is hard to ride, so this could be my last bike. That extra battery probably cost $2k.
I've not gotten between 65 and 70 but yes the rear sprocket is thicker and makes the chain noise louder. Make sure you have enough space in the chain. I got a 64 tooth warp 9 sprocket and it's so much quieter
@TheLazare2000 Like with any PEV, it depends on many factors. I recently did a 45-mile ride on rural roads that were about half paved and half gravel. I started at 100% full battery charge and ended with 22% battery remaining. Average speed was 17 mph. Top speed was 50 mph. Ride time was approx. 2 hrs. Rider weight is 195 lbs. Ambient temperature was warm and mild. Going hard on the throttle would’ve resulted in faster battery drain and less range. After 2 hours of leisure riding, however, I’m plenty satisfied with the bike’s performance and range. 😊
My king goat has crack on the frame after 800 mlles. It is my worst ebike experience. Customer support sucks once you have major issue
Have V3 w/ zero issues. U must have v1/v2.
@maximumchargeEV don’t know what cause it caught on fire it happen right after I started the king goat e-bike the controller been having issues for long time power goat bikes said may been damaged controller or error that why they send me a new motor, controller and Wires
I have king goat e-bike love it but week ago the controller area caught on fire now just waiting for power goat bikes to ship new parts
My King Goat is down currently. New controller on the way
@WyomingRider my 1st bike was the Motor Goat v3 and the King Goat is definitely louder out of the box. Love the content 💯
Ya maybe a little, but mine was already loud I guess. Especially if you put in Max Torque or Sport. It sounds like a pod racer if you rev it hard and let off suddenly. I don’t mind it though.
You will keep having issues if you don't update! Unless you plan on riding hard the stock version suffices for what the bike is made for. I ride on well paved roads so the bike as stock is good enough. However, for long rides a seat upgrade is definitely needed.
@fpsjohnnyramboit ain't that easy just so you know I had a nail penetrate my rear on my king goat motorcycle tires are no joke I went to a professional and got it balanced he put a real motorcycle stem in it the OEM tires have a tube which slow you down by the way but better protect u and the mounting I had to contact the company because the spacers kept falling out to ask if I could use Grease they said yes and I finally got it I texted them and they contacted me back in 5 minutes there customer service is outstanding
at least yours is chain drive easier to remove the rear wheel I had to replace my tire after 1200 miles 🤦🏻♂️, my new tire I had a tube valve and wall trim nail stick in it but luckily enough it never fully penetrated
Its a great ebike but the motor isn't reliable. My controller and motor break down couple times. I don't know If i pick the lemon or what. And replacing parts is really pain in the a... but I have to admit Goat Power stands behind product and replaced for free. I just hate my king goat break down in middle of nowhere and calling friends to come with their truck. Then waiting for replacement parts.
How is the horn, mine is very low and the bike is giving issues, not going past 15 mph
@thebikecave thank you I just installed my cranks and took my bike out for the first time today. Fantastic bike I am a giant man and that bike works perfect. But definitely thanks for the video. Gave me lots of information. Keep up the good work.
Im 300 lbs. I got mine up to 60mph! Scary fast
Some good content my man! I’ve been really happy with my King Goat V3. So far it’s been 100% trouble free. I love the way these look with the tank battery.
I know right. After this ride i could have just left it in normal the whole time and still been fine.
I've got one.. Its literally flies up any hill. I've gone anywhere between 45 to 60 up hills and it never gets hot.. Its a beast. I Love it! Best 4 grand I've spent!
The mirrors come with the bike as well as a large and small tool box and everything needed to assemble the bike. I love mine.. It's fast as a MF..
Everyone has their preference, but I’m just happy with the ride quality. I was actually considering buying an Onyx but when I saw the Goat and understood it's overall capabilities I chose to go with the Goat knowing that a mid-drive motor has more advantages over a hub drive. Easier to maintain, and you don't have the overheating issues like the Onyx has due to the tune not being refined. At the end of the day the Goat is capable of reaching the same speeds as the Onyx for a much cheaper price. The build is solid and I didn't need a bike that goes 30mph in 1.8 seconds if that means I am practically overheating and stressing my motor everytime I take off from a dead stop. The Goat is quick and refined and is an excellent commuter bike.
Keep an eye on the welds on the back, mine failed in 2 places after 800 miles. Street riding, no significant bumps etc.
Damn. Awesome. I got the Motor Goat v3 upgraded to 70v and all that stuff and a second battery but I’ve not tested the range yet.
When we see each other—u already know!!! I’m down by beach n Atlanta…I take it on the river bed—to yorba Linda and back…going 20-30mph…80 mile round trip. I have about 60% left when I get back…I’m like—WTF???
The range with the extra battery is insane. I started at my house in Huntington Beach and took it to the queen mary in Long Beach. I came back and I was at 89%. That’s better than my Tesla! If you’re on the fence, do yourself a favor and pull the trigger!
I just picked up a wired predator... largely based on your videos of the bike... thanks for your help in buying my first ebike....by the way...I LOVE IT!!!!...YOU WERE RIGHT 👍...ITS BAD AZZZZ...😂
As usual, great content Matt. This is a really good bike in this current configuration! I love my King Goat V3. I waited until they worked the bugs out. Then ordered it right away. So far it’s been awesome. And it looks great parked next to my Mini Goat.
Just got mine yesterday and it scares me in all the best ways. GOSPEL OF GOAT
@WyomingRiderI got the new front and rear sprocket with the new controller I'm just saying the rear sprocket is solid heavy like 20 lb I have three controllers for it now I got it free I think maximum charge said you had to pay for this
I have the v2 they gave me the V3 stuff but the back sprocket is solid and not like his or in the goat powered Ebike video very heavy it has 800 mi on it now I don't think I've had overheating at all but then again I haven't went crazy on it so
I freaking love this bike. I’ve been crushing everyday since I got it a week ago and what a joy. I’m able to go literally everywhere on barely any battery usage (with the extended battery). This bike is also built like a tank. Hey, how about some magnetic accessories for it? Maybe a magnetic side bag?
This queen goat sucks so bad I had to spend 300$ on a tapia seat to keep my ass on it or I'd slide off the back. Pure junk!
I believe it's about 15 - 20 miles extra riding in normal mode. I ride it normal most of the time around town and to work.
I did my upgrade about a month ago and my display top speed is exactly 65.8 also lol. Nice video👍
So do you feel it's louder? Mine definitely got louder after...love the vids💯
I think sounds like a Podracer when it gets going
Goat Power Bikes forced their customers to do major post-purchase repairs on a brand new bike. Greedy New Year's Christmas antics from an untrustworthy company. Now they want to blame me for not having a return box which I agreed to pay for on a product that is significantly not as advertised. Motor overheats leading to poor uphill performance. 12 volt converters are faulty. Mid drive sounds louder than a weed wacker & just as annoying.
Insanely horrific. Who forces their customers to do major post-purchase repairs on a brand new bike. Greedy New Year's Christmas antics from an untrustworthy company. I take the streets (the long way) on my commute to work each day on a Motor Goat v3. It maxes out at about 45 MPH. But, If I had a 55 MPH eBike, I could ride a mile on a bypass and keep up with the traffic. This would shorten the distance of my ride to work.
I'm peddling my e bike and passing motorcycles, had me crying, lol.
Wired predator maybe. The king goat has absolutely no torque. People keep saying the new controller that still hasn't arrived will fix that 😂 I would just go with Onyz or Eride SS Pro. Bulletproof waterproof smooth fantastic controllers the list goes on. I have the king goat and I regret it as of writing these comments.
With both batteries, using only throttle i get 50-60 miles riding mixed settings. Usually reading an avg speed between 12-15 mph
Just my opinion, Goat mini & king are tops country off roads and hills and on road driving! I have the Onyx rcr 80v and it excels incredible on road and ok off road a more pavement bike! Both have their advantages but Goat is definitely king off road dirt hills perfectly for country and especially places like East TN and site seeing hit off road paths! Having both bikes is perfect!
@thebikecavenot needed huh I never asked for more number one number two the horn and the brake sensors going off is not acceptable it's a bad controller Big Mike don't listen to this guy I own the bike
@RidinwithGOATsI ride my king in the winter I ride bikes all my life so you can but you probably have to be a professional trust me you do fall not on my king yet
It sets off The Horn randomly on mine and one time It did it with the brake sensors when I went to the grocery store full speed once only at high speeds but I typically don't go fast
@jeremyschultz4731I'm not saying they don't work good in the snow I live in Michigan I know all about it I'm saying they're cheap mine are 4 pistons dot 4 don't forget about I have regenerative braking which means the motor breaks also I don't like using it though very effective it makes the bike jitter though using it will make my brakes last longer the only thing I can say I don't like about this bike is the controller it seems to set off the horn randomly and sometimes the brake sensors but the company is getting me a new one
Having ridden the bike for a little over s week now, the mode settings are petty good for what they "seem" intended for. At least to me, it "feels" like the manufacturers idea behind eco mode was to not only give us a setting that goes easy on the juice for over all longevity, but also a mode that seems perfectly fit for ridding on bike paths or in public parks.wherever you might find yourself mingled in amongst the pedestrian foot traffic. Normal mode feels like they wanted us to have something geared for the bike lane and everywhere bicycle traffic is partitioned off from other traffic for the most part. This mode has a good bit of top end, it just takes a moment to climb there, not long but a noticeable crescendo. Max torque is obviously for when you're hauling a heavy load or ARE a heavy load, maybe you're towing a buddy and you're also climbing that super steep hill. And no one needs sport mode expanded. This mode tries to get us to the top of the zoom Zoom meter as quickly as it can manage while also trying to find any more of that too end they might have been hiding in there.
@eleahy8292 actually i got full 200 range on my a8 so its thanks to my body weight taken into count too. an i was maxing out my speed so i got the optimal edge case but if you were say a bit more then me in the wight with everything i experienced with annioki vs an goat ev i will agree to disagree, i think the goats is an slightly lesser ride with its range limits and all other cons. over all i don't dis like the goat bike, i just don't think its for me personally for the money along with its lack of range is an con it has to an a8 in my eyes.
I'm going to have to disagree on the count of it's a Samsung battery and real motorcycle tires and brakes it also has regenerative braking I think mine is badass and when you say 200 Miles range I find that funny that totally depends on your speed weather roads oh and don't forget about it doesn't have gears which always cause problems
Much thanks love & appreciation for the code #tailhappy Came in today & im very pleased coming from a Meelod dk 300max which was my 1st e-bike still like it. The king goat his very nice & smooth. I’m 5’10” 160 lbs and it gets up configured as is for me still can’t wait for the upgrade. Solid on incline climbing it pulls. I was a bit skeptical on that but I had done a lot of homework/ research before pulling the trigger & it did not disappoint. Main factor why I chose it for hilly rides around my area. Power is solid imo.
Depends which battery you roll with. I have 70ah and can easily do 100 miles. I took it on the highway yesterday as part of a 50 mile ride and still had 50% battery when I got home
@danielsorensen6038I have been playing around with those settings and yes, I feel pedal assist increases speed at higher speeds. It's almost like a boost. I'll say this though, it doesn't do 70. I'm 6'2" 180lbs and I can get it to about 60
Already been upgraded so now 0 to 30 its a beast!
I have had mine ordered for 3 months. I have over 2K on my Motor Goat and no issues. This torque off the line is concerning to me but my main concern is traveling to town which is less than 15 miles round trip. This should keep me at a safe speed on country roads. 35 to 45. But it is supposed to have great torque numbers?
@VEGITAS4my mini-goat has a direct drive motor but it definitely doesn’t have a slow start. I had to change the settings to tame it down.
I own all the goat bikes and with the exception of the mini-goat, all have a "slow start strength" but once you pass 20 mph it goes.
