I just realized i wouldnt have gotten mine stolen last year if i actually used the rear tire bike lock, sense the person cut my bike lock, if the rear tire was locked they wouldnt of had time to steal the bike. I ended up buying the dirt goat, but my billy goat, the battery pretty much melted to the frame, i had to rewire it. The dirt goat has been so many problems and its too expensive.
Ive taken mine up steep overpasses with zero issues. It pulls my weight with ease, and I weigh 203 lbs. The motor is powerful, especially with dual batteries to give it juice.
I got the dual battery on mine for added range. On a single round trip, I range over 70 miles mostly between PAS 3 -6 (in the 9 PAS settings mode.) I agree with you about the seat. I ordered a custom 20" x 8" seat from Tapia. It hasn't arrived yet, but I can't wait to upgrade it.
260 plus pounds and I did 74 mph on the Brooklyn Bridge today
my billy goat from goat motors is WAY FASTER than all of those bikes. what kinda BS is this??
I know what you mean but unfortunately billy goat I ride only once. It is an impressive bike but I don't have that many miles on it. Personally I don't advice any e-bike without making at least 300 miles on it. First 40 miles almost no bikes have issues. But my riding experience on that single ride was nothing but positive.
@doctadrey3000 I got mine a month ago, im 140lbs and my top speed is 45-46mph. I got the Billy Goat V3 and its awesome. I dont have any complaints I guess i would rather have motorcycle style wheels/ tires but you can easily upgrade them. I did get a flat in my innertube within 150 miles but thats because of the road i was in.
I make the biggest mistake buying this bike. The bike they send me seems okay , but 3 weeks later, I'm having all kinds of issues already, like the brakes pads completed waste after 3 weeks , the front caliper which I barely used it's broken, lastly the chain of the bike is all rustic, this is all in 3 weeks. The person from customer service replay to my email 2 days later after I send them like 3 emails over the weekend, saying that the chain is rustic because I keep my bike in a moist environment (false) The caliper is broken because it was used with too much force, and the pads need to be replaced every 300 miles . Basically, if you don't know how to brake, it is your fault, too. Customer sucks and will make anything your fault just for them not to replace any parts . STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPNAY.
In case ppl don't know, this bike really IS NOT meant to be peddled. Its more of a speed bike thats why the motor is 3000w. Unless your like 5'5 peddling will not be comfortable. Its just for a quick get up to speed , out of traffic type set up. The speed will go over 40+ depending on your weight and gear on your bike .. The single battery will get a out 40+miles on throttle and longer naturally on peddling. Really comfortable for me and I'm 310 with full helmet, backpack and extra gear on it.
Hope this helps, but I'm 310 and 5'11 solid and it does about 30-35 up decent hills in Pa. It does maintain a decent speed about 40ish on flat ground. But it DOESN'T sustain that speed for awhile. Like if I throttle for a out 20min only, the battery drains like crap. Peddling does help a lot but it's not really made for that. Had it for 3 weeks and have 45 miles on it and need brakes now. So yeah the heavier you are the faster your gonna need tune ups.
Received the MG v3 few weeks ago, awesome bike but the rear fender is my only issue so far. Need to find a way to modify it.
It walks up hills really well, I’m impressed with the bike and the direct drive system. The controller, battery and motor were barely warm after running it very hard for 20 miles. I’ll be adding the second battery for more range and less voltage sag.
@A1Bokeh fantastic, ive only had issues with the breaks not bleeding properly but they still work. the range is insane even on max throttle for the area I ride at
Bro get one. I have the motor goat v3 and the thing is crazy fast and crazy torque. You can actually used the affirm at checkout and pay in instalments. Good luck 😅
I recently got the Billy Goat with the extended battery. I'm super happy with my purchase I love riding it. I grabbed the cargo wrack so I can go to the store and other errands. Don't forget to use the power boost. It will get you to top speed quickly. Hold down the + sighn for 2 or 3 seconds to get the boost.
Same. His previous video of the motor goat v3 (going 44 mph) was an early batch with the older controller. Now all the Goat bikes have the latest updated controller. My motor goat v3(later batch) goes 48mph when the battery was 90% charged. I'm only 148 lbs btw. With all the way full battery, I think I can get 1-2 mph more. It's a crazy powerful bike bro.
I wish they would be cheaper I'm happy with mine 30 MPH with pedals for eight 33 total I got a deal. There a grand now nice goat I like it.
Just got my bike with the second battery option, and it is a faster goat for sure! Well done!
@B7litzI have one. It goes 50 no problem
@youtubemademecreateanewcha6965 Having it full throttle will drain battery faster for sure. Mine is the dual battery setup with total 45 Ah. 100 to 80% battery will take about 50 min to 1 hour with constant full throttle. I'm guessing single battery will be half that, so 30 min seems right for single battery.
@youtubemademecreateanewcha6965 Just going by feel, I think full power drops off when u hit 80%. So 100 to 80% battery you'll be in top speed. Then it will drop again from 50% battery on down. But even with below 50%, I am still seeing speeds of 39-42 mph full throttle.
My v2 only lasted 1000 miles, said error code 30, now won't turn on, battery is stuck and won't release with the key.
Buyer beware..bought my billy goat v2 and after 35 emails and multiple delivery dates and excuses I finally got it..I can only hit 39 mph at 240lb ..goat claims 44mph at 240lb..the brakes are junk..seat is not comfortable...biggest complaint is the owners business practices...and if you complain about anything about their bikes on the FB page you get banned...alot of ticked off buyers over shipping excuses...I bought my bike thinking it would do 44 mph at 240lb with no wind on flat ground but 39 is it at 100% battery..and yes I've adjusted all the display settings...bike arrived with damaged parts and bryson ghosted me..
These goat bikes are the real deal. I've had my motor goat v3 for 2 months now. Never really did a top speed test(with full battery) until yesterday... Boy oh boy, let me tell u. With 90% battery, I'm 148 lbs, flat ground, no wind, body tucked low, near optimal conditions etc, I got this sucker to exactly 48 mph on gps app, just like Tailhappy. With all the way 100% battery if I ever test again, I wouldn't be surprised one bit if I can reach 50 mph!!... Nutz! Absolutely nutz!!
This bike is rated for up top 450 lbs. I've got the Motor Goat version and it's great for us heavier guys.
Agreed, as a 300+ rider I find the stock 450lb shock to be perfect, but my less gravity challenged friends all remarked on how stiff the rear shock is.
@VEGITAS4Purchase one of the goat bikes and you will see why super 73 still has plenty of market share. I own a goat bike (motor goat) and have owned a super 73. The goat is absolutely faster for the money. But the problem with goat bikes is the customer service and failure to deliver what they charge for. Order a super 73 and you will get your bike and decent customer support. Pay for a goat bike and after waiting 3 months you will get a very fast bike that has flaws and little to no customer support. They have 1 person trying to handle everything. I ride my goat bike daily to work. I enjoy it and do not regret the purchase. But their customer support and failure to deliver a working product out of the box is why they are still zero threat to super 73.
U can get on the freeway tho and take small road trips. I can't do that with my motor goat v3. I can however save a bunch of money doing it vs having a motorcycle. Lol.
@nickstout6571 I ordered in March and it got to the house in June, but I knew it was a new bike and had great speed so that’s why I pulled the trigger. I love it and I feel 12 years old again. But I am 64. Lol
That’s what my Power goat ran out of the box. Another battery on the way.
I have 1, its great to ride the road but also when traffic sucks you can hit the sidewalk or bike trail.
The battery % is fixed by software update. Must have the app. 👍🏻 I have the Billy Goat with rear cargo bags, so the low nut bar allows me to get on and off bike when you can’t swing your leg over rear rack. 👍🏻
@smokeyone I sure did but I never did do a video review of the bike. I received the bike in early March and have put about 500 miles on it. I absolutely love the bike.
My goat has just arrived in Australia well worth the wait couldn’t ask for more perfect enjoy
OH YA THEY DID! I had one and it was a BEAST. Easily 50lbs. It took a bit of effort to get it going, but oooohweeee, it was such a smooth ride. Complete with a personalized plate from Disneyland. Hah! I remember bulldozing this heavyset older lady coming out of a bar one Saturday afternoon. Went down for the ten-count while me n the monoshock celebrated our one hitter quitter. Only gripe was the seat cover started coming off way too soon. O the nostalgia.
@danimayb yeah I don't know what it is on my bike, personally doesn't bother me. It's only when the voltage starts getting very low otherwise the throttle response is instant.
